Linden Industries, a global manufacturer of polyurethane processing equipment, has recently introduced a new system that replaces HCFC blowing agents with the environmentally friendly 134a and 245fa or R22 blowing agents. These blowing agents are friendlier and safer for the environment and rated at a much lower ozone depletion and global warming potential (ODP and GWP) than HCFC blowing agents. The unit is self-contained and can be provided with new equipment or as a retrofit.
The blending unit, engineered and manufactured to customer specifications, is usually employed in discontinuous applications requiring "poured shots". Blended material from the unit may be piped directly to properly equipped day tanks or to batch holding tanks for storage and distribution to day tanks. Linden is committed to helping companies comply with environmental standards.
Replacing HCFCs is a goal with most companies and our new blending unit will meet both current and future environmental demands.
