Linden Introduces Environmentally Friendly Batch Processing Spray Unit Without The Use of Solvents For Coating Applications
Developed by Linden as a licensee for the exclusive UNICARB® VOC Reduction Process in batch-type applications, the EZ-Coat system utilizes carbon dioxide as both the carrier and the atomizing agent, providing potentially solvent free spraying and making the system environmentally friendly.
According to Peter Tilgner, president of Linden, "Carbon Dioxide is naturally present in our atmosphere and is not considered environmentally hazardous. As a result, the EZ-Coat system is perfect for finishers desiring to reduce VOC's."
The EZ-Coat system can produce coating viscosities up to 500,000 cps, and offers the potential for one-coat spraying with high solids content.
EZ-Coat batch processing spray units are self-contained and require only 120 VAC electrical power, standard shop compressed air, and a carbon dioxide connection.
EZ-Coat units are available in models from small, portable laboratory units to high-usage production systems designed for maximum performance levels. Both manual and automatic spray guns are available.
Option packages allow the automatic reloading of the batch unit and the flow monitoring of the carbon dioxide gas and the coating materials.
