Linden introduced the new Micro-Innovator™ at Polyurethanes Expo '99 in September. The Micro-Innovator is a high pressure metering machine designed especially for smaller parts requiring shots from 5 grams to 80 grams.

Compared to low pressure systems, the Micro-Innovator can reduce both material and energy costs, while operating as a very environmentally friendly system. The System is designed to accurately meter two-component, unfilled, reactive chemical systems at high pressures.

Available output ranges are from 10 to 160 grams per second with a typical mixing pressure of 2500 PSI (although higher pressures can be specified). Processing viscosities can range from 5 to 10,000 CPS.

The Micro-Innovator is a highly flexible stand-alone system and can be programmed to interface with molding conveyors, turntables, stationary mold clamps, robots and other auxiliary equipment.

All Micro-Innovators are equipped with Linden's HOTLINE™ modem service support. This permits Linden technicians to provide remote data analysis to assist with any production problems and allows the uploading and downloading of the PLC program.

This new high pressure impingement mixing system eliminates the solvent flushing associated with low pressure/flow rate systems and provides environmentally friendly operations.

The Micro-Innovator was designed for small part applications, requiring shots ranging from 5 to 50 grams. Available output ranges are from 10 to 100 grams per second with typical mixing pressure of 3000 psi. Processing viscosities range from 5 to 3000 cps.

This highly flexible system features a closed loop flow control and can be programmed to interface with conveyors, turntables, stationary mold clamps, robots and other auxiliary equipment. The Micro-Innovator is equipped with Linden's HOTLINE™ Modem Support Service, which permits technicians to assist with production problems and facilitates the uploading and downloading of the PLC programs.

Many options are available, including magnetically-coupled Rexroth metering pumps that eliminate pump shaft seal leakage.
