Akron, OH: Linden, a global manufacturer of polyurethane processing systems and auxiliary equipment, has recently introduced two new systems that replace HFC and HCFC blowing agents with the environmentally friendly pentane hydrocarbon (HC) blowing agent. Pentane is so friendly and safe for the environment that it is rated at "zero" ODP and "zero" global warming. Both units are self-contained and can be provided with new equipment or as a retrofit.

PENTA-METER is a metering unit for pentane injection at the mixhead. This unit is built to customer specifications and is typically used for continuous production lines.

PENTA-FUSION is a polyol/pentane blending unit, also built to customer specifications. This unit is usually employed in applications taking individual shots.

According to Theron Sherman, sales manager, "Linden is committed to helping companies comply with environmental standards. Replacing HFCs and HCFCs is a goal with most companies and our two new pentane HC units will meet both current and future environmental demands."
