Increase Efficiency in Your Operation with Quality Spray Equipment

Polyurethane machines include spray equipment uniquely positioned to provide accurate application for spray insulation, coatings, and elastomers for various industries. As the insulated foam is a critical component in the military, aerospace, automotive, sporting goods, and consumer appliance sectors, among others, there is a constant need for efficient spray equipment.

However, polyurethane machines aren’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why our polyurethane spray equipment features extensive customization options to fit your needs. Let’s explore the features of our equipment and how to choose the right combination for your business.

What is Polyurethane Foam Spray Used for?

Polyurethane foam is commonly used to reduce noise, provide stability, and protect spaces from extreme temperatures, meaning you can find it in a variety of places. The automotive industry uses it to make high-end models quieter for passengers. It’s also used in aircraft to provide insulation from extreme temperatures, seal cabin pressure, and provide a strong sound barrier. Additionally, spray coating protects appliances against rust and heat exposure. This is by no means an exhaustive list, and polyurethane foam can be found in multiple other industries. With so many uses, customization is key to ensuring each sector has an efficient application process.

Customize Your Polyurethane Machines to Fit Your Needs

Every industry depends on the uniform dispensing of polyurethane; however, specifications may change based on the application. That’s why we collaborated with Isotherm AG to create the Linden-Isotherm PSM 700 Spray Machine. The polyurethane machines can be fitted with various mix head types, including handled, robot-mounted, spray-style, or pour-style based on your needs.

The PSM 700 features continuous output ranging from 10-160 gr/sec, and a mix ratio by volume of 1:1 to 1:4/4:1. It can also be used in an in-house facility or for mobile needs and works with five standard and multiple custom-designed mix head types. The machine is the foundation of your operation, however, the mix heads are the key to customization for your operation.

Which Mix Head is Right for You?

At Linden Polyurethane, we have various mix heads to choose from including L-Style, Straight Style, Spray Style, and Quality Craft. Let’s dive into the specifics of each and determine which is right for your application.

L-Style

Our L-style mix head features two mixing chambers that are perpendicular to one another. During the mixing process, materials counter-impinge in a small horizontal chamber before being forced into a larger chamber, then distributed. This mix head slows material velocity and ensures laminar flow. These mix heads are best suited for high-pressure applications.

Straight Style

Our straight style mix heads are available in three different nose lengths, depending on the size of the mix head and your production needs. The longest nose allows for a laminar flow of material and ensures you can coat even hard-to-reach locations. These mix heads are ideal for closed-pouring applications that need a longer nose to reach the tooling.

Spray Style

Each spray style mix head offers reliability and precision. Uniquely suited for the Linden-Isotherm PSM 700 Spray Machine, the chemicals arrive at the spray head via heated hoses and provide a perfect mix even with different mixing ratios.

Quality Craft

These mix heads offer high-pressure mix heads, low-pressure components for mix heads, and any components required to support them. The quality craft mix heads are intended for distributors and OEMs.
